Awarenessinfo media has gathered the news that in a significant development in the fight against corruption, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has handed over a whopping N3.93 billion to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.

The recovered funds, amounting to N3,936,145,822, were handed over by Mohammed Hammajoda, Secretary to the EFCC, on behalf of Ola Olukoyede, the commission's Executive Chairman.

Receiving the funds, Mumuni Dagazau, Executive Vice-President of NNPC's Downstream operations, expressed gratitude to the EFCC for its support.
"This recovery shows the unity and cooperation between our agencies," Dagazau said. "We appreciate the EFCC's efforts in helping us correct the system and recover stolen funds."
